Trying to find their way back home, Hansel and Gerhardt happen upon a cabin deep in the words. Hunger clouds Hansel’s judgement and he finds himself invited inside for dinner by a comely woman.

Gerhardt watches as his brother falls into the trap of the witch in the cabin. When he’s sure she’s not going to carve him up and put him in the oven, he slips into the woods to wait for night fall. While she is asleep, Gerhardt takes his brother’s place and teaches the witch a thing or two about manners.
